MacDella Cooper Foundation Hamptons Charity Event

in the main polo tent in Bridgehampton (from left) Leah MacComiskie, Anna Sabino, Melissa Arocha and Tammy Tibbetts

Saturday was my doing good and partying in style day. That’s what best describes the MacDella Cooper Foundation benefit held in the Hamptons. The event started with the polo match. It was my first time attending a polo match and I have to say it was quite an experience.

I was hoping to learn the basic rules of polo but then realized noone was watching the match. Hamptons polo was all about socializing, drinking champagne and people watching with some horses running in the background.

I’m wearing a Diane von Furstenberg dress, Steve Madden flats and Lucid New York Bird Necklace

Lucid Look Book Nina Guerrieri Medallion Necklace

Today Lucid is featuring Nina. She wrote me an over the top, sweet email about how glad she is she bought the medallion necklace.

Here is what she said:

"I just wanted to let you know how much that I love the Medallian necklace!
It’s just gorgeous. In my opinion, you could use it with a more formal cocktail dress and with an every day t-shirt.
I couldn’t be happier with the necklace. Thank you for the wonderful addition to the jewelry box!"

What a pleasure to receive such a nice email, it definitely brightened my day.

Thank you, Nina!

Mechanical Bull in Manhattan

If you live in Texas you probably won’t be impressed by it but a mechanical bull at a bar downtown Manhattan is pretty rare.

I had to try it! It’s harder than it seems!

MacDella Cooper Foundation

This picture says so much! It’s the happy children in Liberia, who got help thanks to MacDella Cooper Foundation. The foundation’s goal is to provide food, clothing and shelter to the Liberian youth in need, especially orphans and abandoned children. Its goal is to make sure the children get free education. MacDella Foundation is working towards its main goal - the opening of a tuition-free school in 2010.

When I was considering charities to be involved with, I was so excited to find out about MacDella Foundation and their mission, which is so close to my heart. Being an entrepreneur, I strongly believe that education is such a mind-opening and enriching experience, which many of us take for granted but which is not available in some parts of the world.

I was so flattered when I was asked to be on the board of the foundation! What a privilege! What I love about MacDella is of course the mission but also its execution in style. What a great feeling to participate in the fun events for a good cause. This Saturday the MacDella Cooper foundation is organizing an event in the Hamptons starting with the polo match, followed by the Lalesso fashion show (Lucid New York will provide the jewelry for the Lalesso collection), the VIP dinner and the after party at Dune.

The tickets to the MacDella Foundation Hamptons benefit are still available!

Pistol Earrings Lucid Look Book

Alicia Kan is sporting pistol earrings, she asked me to make them when she noticed the gun necklace on the site. I’m always so happy to see a beautiful girl with an urban flare wearing Lucid! Would you like your own pair of pistol earrings? Just order a pistol necklace and mention in the description that you’d like the earrings instead.
