Best Shoes for Fall Manolo Blahnik

Manolo is not just about the shoes anymore. In its fall collection, Manolo presents matching clutches. Now, would you really perfectly match your clutch to your shoes? Personal preference. Regardless, I’m still in love with that cobalt blue pair that Sarah Jessica Parker was wearing to the engagement party in the SATC.

Here are my chosen new Manolo fall shoes with the black studded shoes being my absolute favorite.

Women’s Sailing Shoes

About a month ago I joined the Manhattan Sailing Club and when I started noticing that my hobby is becoming a passion I decided to look around for some sailing gear. Starting with the shoes, I’m seriously disappointed. So little choices in sailing shoes for women!  I found only two pairs worth mentioning. I debated between these topsiders.

And these Harken shoes

I went for the second ones - Harkens. Definitely a gap to fill in…

New York Gift Show and How to Take Care of Orchids

my booth at the New York Gift Show

I’ve been very busy getting my winter collection ready for New York International Gift Show, which started on Sunday and is ending tomorrow. Store owners attend it to see our Holiday collections and place their orders. One of my Gift Show rituals is buying white orchids to decorate my booth. I take them home after the show.

Every time I challenge myself with how long I can keep them for. Last time I got them to last for over four months. There’s a secret of taking care of orchids: water them once in 10 days.

Polyvore Fun

I haven’t played with Polyvore in a while and when I checked today, I saw 230 sets using Lucid New York pieces! Wow, that’s really amazing, Thanks to all of you who have created them.

This one though just blew me away. I love its composition, cleanliness and the color palette. It was created by Apocalipstick. I’m so happy she featured one of the Lucid New York cocktail rings that I decided to contact her and send her the ring.

Congrats, Apocalipstic and keep posting your great art!

Canopy Beds

I’ve been on a search for a perfect bed. I think I’m leaning towards canopy beds. I stumbled upon this one yesterday. It’s a Mantra bed "built along Feng-Shui principles."

As much as I find it interesting, I would not be able to justify its $9k price ticket plus I’m drawn to white furniture. White furniture just gives the apartment this breezy look.

So I found this one

I was surprised to find out there were not that many canopy beds to choose from. My next dilemma is… finding a perfect mattress.

Black Dress and the Japanese Touch

Everyone who knows me closer knows about my Japanese obsession. I went to Japan twice and fell in love with their style and fashion. That is also why Betsey Johnson is one of my favorite designers - I think Tokyo when I see her bows and frills. It’s hard to dress like a Harajuku girl in New York but I do love adding some Harajuku touches to my outfits.

I’m wearing a Betsey Johnson black dress,

Gucci shoes,

Zara scarf,

Burberry purse,

Lucid New York Hoop Earrings,

fancy leggins/legwarmers I got in Japan.

I’m a fan of knee high socks, which I love wearing with boots and a skirt and these fancy legwarmers are a great summer alternative. I wish I had got a pair in every color!

Which Ray-Bans Are You?

The trend has been coming, gradually, sheepishly for a couple of seasons. Now it’s here, everywhere! If you look in the New Yorkers eyes this summer you’ll notice them. It seems like everyone has them. The unisex phenomenal sunglasses. Ray-Bans. At first I didn’t like them. I like large sunglasses but then seeing them everywhere, and I really do mean everywhere, they gradually started growing on me and now I love them. The best part about Ray-Ban sunglasses is you can have them in different colors, you can find your pair.

I am drawn to these. Which Ray-Bans are you?
