NYFW – I’m Interviewed by FOX
Yesterday at the NYFW in the tents I was interviewed by Fox 5 about the outfit I was wearing. We had a blast with the Fox journalist Christal Young. What a charming, sweet, fun person. She put me in an excellent mood!

Christal is wearing a gorgeous dress by Temporly of London.
I’m wearing
- Alice + Olivia dress
- black underdress, which I got in Tokyo
- Steve Madden shoes
- Girl with a Jump Rope Handmade Necklace (which I shortened to 14" but it comes as 16")

Necklace and earrings closeup

I’m showing Christal my trick of layering dresses if you’d like a mini dress to be longer.

Having a blast. I hope our laugh is contagious!

laughing a lot…

gets even funnier

Pamella Roland Spring 2010
Pamella Roland’s Spring 2010 collection was inspired by Georgia O’Keefe’s floral combinations, white landscapes and New York at night. It was an extensive collection of day dresses with oversize floral elements as well as sparkly night gowns.

I loved that huge bow element

and the fact that it actually wasn’t a dress but … a pant suit

The collar of this jacket is so dreamy. I have a big weakness for these ruffled collars.

The jewelry designer Pamella Roland collaborated with was Isharya. This necklace is stunning and perfect for this dress.

I ran into a friend, fellow fashion writer Erika Lehmann from ChicShopperChick, at the Pamella Roland show. She flew in for the fashion week. We met last year at the New Media Expo in Las Vegas. It was great to hang out and chat.

Badgley Mischka Spring 2010 Jewelry Accessories
This morning Badgley Mischka presented a stunning collection of clothes and accessories. The jewelry was bold, sparkly, definitely conversation pieces. Gorgeous bib necklaces as well as other styles were made of Swarovski crystals, pearls, ribbons, chains and beads – all these elements were part of a beautiful sea-inspired ensemble. The nautical theme was reinvented and applied into evening jewelry. Dark tone shells, oysters, starfish were complementing models’ clothes, who were showing how easy it was to wear the pieces during the day as well as at night.

Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010
The Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 show this afternoon at the Armory was a surprising, breathtaking, cutting edge, trendsetting experience. Headbands with huge bows, mix of patterns, tube chokers, great shoes and bags. Pieces that you would never guess go together all the sudden got some Marc charm and they look stunning. They are non conventional and are called with unusual names such as "yellow wild at heart raincoat", "fire water stripe jacket", or "the blue acacia dress."
Amazing show with awesome music by Frederic Sanchez.

Bow headbands and sparkly tube necklaces add some fun and urban touch

Just to show that not all the bow headbands were pink

Interesting mix of patterns

I love how Marc Jacobs just mixes spring and fall colors. A fall accessory can give an outfit "an evening look."
Carolina Herrera Spring 2010
The inspiration for the Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2010 collection is one of the most unusual ones I have heard. The designer was inspired by Japanese baskets. The clothes, shoes, bags and belts had this interesting "woven look." The colors amber, rose and caramel were drawn from the sky’s palette at the end of the summer day.

I love this bow

Carlos Miele Spring 2010 My Favorite NYFW Dress so far
We still have many New York Fashion Week shows left and it’s so hard to pick just one dress. It’s definitely a tough task to compare textures – a Carlos Miele sequined dress should not be in the same category as the feathered Jason Wu dress. But there has been one dress so far, which I simply said a very loud "wow" about when I saw it. I keep looking at its photos and admiring its gorgeous cut. I love its color palette so much – it shows us different shades of blues, just like the ocean.

The collar of this dress is like the waves! Oh Carlos Miele!!!

that’s the dress from the back
Carlos Miele Spring 2010
Oh Carlos Miele… This was one of these unusual "wow shows." Prints showing amazing textures – blacks, whites and every hue in between, gorgeous nautical colors. Speaking of nautical, notice these awesome belts. They are tied using nautical knots but instead of the ropes, Carlos Miele went for something more sparkly with an interesting color palette.

Gorgeous Carlos Miele sequined dress with so much texture! Beautiful mix of fabrics.

Miele calls these belts "dreadlocks belts."

Plastiscines at Alice + Olivia Spring 2010
.jpg)
A French band Plastiscines played at the Alice + Olivia New York Fashion Week Spring 2010 presentation. What an amazing fit! Plastiscines convey a mix of urban and Parisian elegance. Just like the Alice + Olivia collection. From the first words of their song "Loser", we know were dealing with strong, independent women, the women whom Alice + Olivia dresses are for:
"Chaque fois que tu m’appelles, je n’reponds pas… et chaque fois que tu me vois, je te voie pas…"
"Every time you call me, I don’t answer… and every time you see me, I don’t see you… "

Check out their amazing style and energy
