This morning Badgley Mischka presented a stunning collection of clothes and accessories. The jewelry was bold, sparkly, definitely conversation pieces. Gorgeous bib necklaces as well as other styles were made of Swarovski crystals, pearls, ribbons, chains and beads - all these elements were part of a beautiful sea-inspired ensemble. The nautical theme was reinvented and applied into evening jewelry. Dark tone shells, oysters, starfish were complementing models’ clothes, who were showing how easy it was to wear the pieces during the day as well as at night.

The Hearth Truth is a national campaign with a goal to make women aware about the risk of heart disease. The symbol of the Heart Truth is a red dress. The first show during the New York Fashion Week was The Hearth Truth show where designers such as Badgley Mischka, Betsey Johnson, Marchesa, Nicole Miller, Vera Wang and others designed each a red dress for the event.

We could notice a lot of pastel colors during this New York Fashion Week. Just as we thought that we will have to forget about our juicy, bright colors that we cherished this season, Badgley Mischka proved us wrong. Bright pinks and blues will be in in 2009, and so will be all the beautiful powder hues - pastel purples, pinks, blues, yellows…

The Badgley Maischka Spring 2009 collection was inspired by "the romance of travel", the pieces were day dresses, coats showing the sparkle occasionally…
