Marc by Marc Bird Bag

I love wearing clothes, which I bought while traveling. They are like stories, when I wear them I think of where and when I bought them. I bought this top in Tokyo. I love its kimono sleeves, details – like the gold buttons on the side plus it’s so comfortable. The skirt is from Hong Kong.

I’ve been wanting this Marc by Marc purse since I saw his bird bag collection. I finally found it on shopbop.com but I think it’s sold out again. If you’d like to be on a lookout it’s called "Natasha Bag".

Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010

Check out the "Army Red Blanket Stripe Dress", the look, which started the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fall 2010 collection at the Armory this afternoon. Only Marc Jacobs can simply name a dress "a blanket dress" and have the public constantly wow every single thing he does. Marc Jacobs showed an extensive collection with colorful stripes, the collection with a touch of military, a touch of class and a lot of New York.

His show was so unique, so remote from other designers. Here it’s as if this trendsetter was telling us: "next fall you’ll wear your pumps with socks. Yes, that’s right, with socks."

this is one of my favorite looks from the collection. Check out that hat!!! It’s so amazing, versatile.

ok this is the last picture of THE HAT… I want it, I want it!

Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010
The Marc by Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 show this afternoon at the Armory was a surprising, breathtaking, cutting edge, trendsetting experience. Headbands with huge bows, mix of patterns, tube chokers, great shoes and bags. Pieces that you would never guess go together all the sudden got some Marc charm and they look stunning. They are non conventional and are called with unusual names such as "yellow wild at heart raincoat", "fire water stripe jacket", or "the blue acacia dress."
Amazing show with awesome music by Frederic Sanchez.

Bow headbands and sparkly tube necklaces add some fun and urban touch

Just to show that not all the bow headbands were pink

Interesting mix of patterns

I love how Marc Jacobs just mixes spring and fall colors. A fall accessory can give an outfit "an evening look."
Narita Airport Guilty Pleasures
Being an avid traveller I deal a lot with luggage losses, delays and sometimes long layovers. There’s one airport I never mind waiting at. It’s Narita in Tokyo. Walking around is an experience in its kind no matter how many times I go there, a mini taste of Tokyo. I always have my favorite udon shrimp tempura, stock up on Shiseido products at the Narita Duty Free and head to the free internet Yahoo lounge.

Most of us can admit there is stuff we spend too much money on or too often. I definitely have to say one of "this stuff" is lotions. This is me usually at Narita (I’m after the 14h JFK-NRT flight)…

So this is my bathroom shelf
I can admit my shelf is a bit much. However I’m not as extreme as those buying La Prairie Cellular Cream Platinum Rare. The lotion does contain platinum but a jar of it is $1,000 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

Besides over-stocking up on lotions my other "addiction" (or guilty pleasure, hahaha) at Narita is buying little cellphone charms. I don’t put them on my phone but attach them to my bags.

My Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag got a bit overcrowded

The Hottest Color for Next Winter
This is going to be my last post from Paris and what I’ve seen there as I’m starting the fabulous coverage of the New York Fashion Week tomorrow. At the last week’s Pret-a-Porter in Paris designers were showing next winter collections. I did notice some trends. My observations:
- dominance of grey
- some orange
- coats belted with leather
- more grey
Basically the designers’ clothing racks looked like that
and like that
I really got into grey after my trip. But grey spiced up.
Here is my interpretation
