Wishbone Bracelet

One of my statements on the about me page is that I “always have my customers in mind.” Keeping in mind that I create for you, loving the pieces I make and wearing them all is important. That’s actually my primary test of everything that gets into the Lucid New York jewelry collection – would I wear it? If the answer is yes, the piece is in. Besides this, I also want to make sure you guys love it. I often take suggestions and requests. Lately I’ve been hearing that Lucid New York should introduce more bracelets. These comments started coming especially after an amazing success of the three tiny bracelets recently added to the collection. You have been letting me know how great they were and how awesome it was they they came in different sizes. Perfect!

So here it is – wishbone bracelet – another piece I made, which was totally inspired by your requests.

This is how it started…

A while back I sent a wishbone necklace to one of my favorite bloggers – Chow from Heart and Bleecker. I loved how she chose to wear the necklace as a bracelet. Most of the readers thought it was actually a wishbone bracelet! I said to myself why not and here it is a wishbone bracelet in both 14k gold filled or sterling silver in 3 sizes – 6.5, 7.5 or 8.5 inches. Would you like it smaller/larger than that? No problem. Since all the bracelets are handmade all you have to do is let me know in the comments of your order what size you’d like. Easy.

Charm Co

Charm necklaces and just charms in general are one of my favorite things that exist. Those cute, lucky and clever ones, like the one above from Charm Co – love them all. I mean, how often do you find yourself with no wood around when you need to "knock on wood". Search no more!

They make a perfect gift – you can really show you know the person by getting them the perfect charm. Charms may sometimes have a different meaning and certain cultures can relate to certain symbols more than others.

One of the funniest examples that comes to my mind is the conversation with a client of mine from France. This is the question she asked when she saw the wishbone necklace.

- Qu-est-ce c’est?

what is it?

- C’est un os de dinde, le collier le plus vendu de Lucid New York

It’s a wishbone – a turkey bone, the best selling necklace of Lucid New York

- Un os?

A bone?

- Oui, un os.

Yes, a bone.

- Mais pourquoi quelqu’un voudrait porter un os sur son cou?
Why would anyone want to wear a bone on their neck?

Yes so the wishbone necklace didn’t get any love in France. Over there, the most loved was the high heel shoe necklace.

Wishbone Necklace in the Cosmopolitan Magazine Gift Guide

I was very excited to be contacted by a Cosmopolitan Magazine web editor who expressed interest in featuring my wishbone necklace in the Holiday Gift Guide. Now… check out the feature… it features another wishbone necklace made by Dogeared Jewelry saying that if they sell out, the editor also likes Lucid New York wishbone necklace.

Everyone prefers the spotlight but nonetheless I’m very flattered to be featured in Cosmo. Plus featuring both wishbone necklaces gives customers the choice to pick which one they like. Happy Holiday Shopping everyone!
